Wirklich schön, wenngleich letztlich ein bisschen zu egal: Der ehemalige Kaiser Chiefs-Lenker Nick Hodgson hat mit einem 00er-Indie-Allstar-Quartett im Rücken als Everyone Says Hi gewissermaßen die angenehme Antithese zu den ersten beiden Alben seiner ehemaligen Band aufgenommen.
Wayne Coyne, Michael Ivans, Steven Drozd und Co. bleiben dem elektronischen Krautrock treu, der sich seit dem Paradigmenwechsel Embryonic über die Flaming Lips gestülpt hat, öffnen auf Oczy Mlody - "eyes of the young" - aber unterschwellig wieder lieblichere Räume für friedliche Melodien. Whoever thought Oozing Wound needed to regenerate after last years raging effort 'Retrash' could not have reckoned with the overflowing energy of the Chicago three-piece: not only did the jewel in the crown that is Thrill Jockey shine with an incredible split with Black Pus and a mean Adult Swim single, 2014 also saw an added ounce of heaviness behind the glorious Artwork of their second album 'Earth Suck'. Oozing Wound don’t leave much to be desired, except for maybe the one thing of being able to see them taking apart European stages.
On 01st of december 2013 Klaus Zwinger met with the american singer-songwriter Koji right before and musician and activist opened the Into It. Over It. gig at the Arena in Vienna to talk among other things about the recent tour and future plans.
