Meine Lieben: Noise zoomt über eine Rede von Erzherzog Karl Franz Joseph zu einem separaten Nachzügler der Soldatenschicksale im Kanonenfieber-Kosmos.
Heroisch und doomig schleppt sich die Eingangsphase der Standalone-Single, um bald darauf aggressiv attackierend im Signature Sound des melodischen Death und Black Metal zu tackern.

This song was born out of our „Soldatenschicksale“ project, in which we invited our listeners to share the stories of their ancestors who served during the First World War. Among the many submissions, one story immediately stood out: that of Philipp Schopp. His descendants sent us a carefully compiled PDF containing his complete wartime correspondence with his family-every letter and field postcard, chronologically arranged and meticulously documented.
The story of this Hessian infantryman moved us so deeply that we chose it as the winning entry.
Meine Lieben is inspired by the final postcards Philipp Schopp sent home from the front. Through his own words, the song retells the hopes, fears, and prayers of a young soldier who longed to see his family again. That reunion would never come. In 1916, Philipp was killed by a shell fragment and buried near the battlefield.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Philipp’s descendants for sharing this extraordinary piece of family history with us. We hope this song helps rescue Philipp’s story from oblivion and gives him the remembrance that a man whose life was cut tragically short so richly deserves.
Nachdem die Nummer im Verlauf mit dem Tritt auf die Breakdown-Zeitlupe gurgelnde Growls schleppt und dann für das Finale flehend klar in den Himmel schreit, kann man sich dann entscheiden, ob Meine Lieben ein typischer Hit der Band ist, der authentisch, intensiv und hocheffizient sein Ziel trifft; oder aber ein generischer Autopilot, der die eigentlich längst durchdeklinierte Kanonenfieber-Formel überschaubar inspiriert aufkocht. Die Wahrheit liegt wohl irgendwo dazwischen, mit Fanbrille aber eher bei ersterer Option.
